Technical
Camera
All photos were taken using a Canon S100 Digital Elph in 1600x1200 "fine" mode. Panoramas were constructed from manually overlapping images (i.e., I didn't use the explicit panorama mode, but aligned things myself). I can't wait until the S230 comes out!
GPS
For GPS tracking, I used a Garmin e-trex Legend. Tracks were recorded at 5 minute spacing and stored in daily logs. Approximately 2 AA batteries were required per day.
